In March 2009 the A-lab Milano duo Alessandro Biasi and Simona Costa, decided to realize their first works, opening WHT, the company that manages the brand, strong of their success of their first collection in the fashion press.
A-lab Milano creates, for their collections, moods and imaginary alternative sources of inspiration for the brand itself, but also a stimulus for photographers, stylists, experts and of course potential customers who want a unique and “out of crowd” style.
For these reasons the team was selected to attend the Toronto Fashion Week in March 2007; then, in September 2009 the National Chamber of Italian Fashion has also chosen the brand to partecipate to the third edition of “Incubator Project”, designed to support and encourage young talents in the fashion industry. In January 2010 they were guest at Berlin Fashion week and this year, in October 2010, they have also attended Georgian Fashion Week.
The logo is a stamp, similar to a post stamp, it makes sense to ensure the value of certification, quality and continous research.
“Lab” stands for “Laboratory”, which is the world of A-lab, place of creations, meetings and confrontations, but above all human relationship.
The Persefone's entire campaign has been directed, like in the previous collection, by the photographer Sergio Valente and with the stylist Luca Termine.
A-lab Milano has a peculiar sensitivity towards charity initiative: the brand attended “A t-shirt for Haiti” in collaboration with the important shop LUISAVIAROMA and also the AMREF EVENT, “The Queens Caftan”.
